● Reform UK’s selectively nationalist welfare policy would be a massive difference to the way things are done. Their retrospective deportation policy remains a beyond the pale policy.
● Reeve’s dilemma is that her being the Chancellor just encourages populism of Polanksi and Farage. Her attempt at technocracy unfortunately became so cack handed that people are now searching around for alternatives, no matter how barmy the other alternatives are in practice.
● I honestly hate to see the Liberal Democrats being outdone by the fruity greens,how the Libs reconcile their new blue wall base with their Generally more left leaning membership will be an interesting one,with the Liberal Democrats having to morph into a One Nation style party.
● Reeve’s first budget handicapped what she could do for her second one. Long story short.
● The eternal dilemma being that maybe higher taxes would be politically possible if UK salaries were at Scandinavian levels, though they currently aren’t.
●Things have soured to point of no return, if Reform UK take the Welsh assembly and the budget doesn’t go down well.
●Maybe new face at the top is needed, with the freedom to break his daft red lines on the Single Market and Customs Union, it would halve the Liberal Democrats polling % and win back wavering people who might be sympathetic to some of Polanksi’s message.
