Ed Davey’s moralistic approach to Trump unfortunately doesn’t seem realistic. The priority should be some sort of limited deal that excludes chlorinated chicken and the NHS.
People getting all on their high horses about retaliation don’t understand how much worse it could get in terms of effect on GDP, the best outcome is to swallow some pride and make ourselves a competitive location for business to come to by getting a US trade deal over the line.
