The Labour+ Liberal Democrat+Green vote and support at the last UK General election is enough of a democratic mandate for a Brexit reset through their manifesto positions which were voted for by over 15,000,000 of voters, British people who voted for the policy of a Brexit reset.
15,000,000 people of the voting population voted for a Brexit reset by extension. When people attack the Brexit reset process, the above points are fair points to add legitimacy to the argument over cries of ‘betrayal’.
We are a parliamentary democracy where Governments have their authority from the basis of General Election manifestos, in which the 3 parties mentioned all promised either a Brexit reset or a rejoin of the Single Market at the least.
