Labour should begin to formulate their attack lines which they should have plenty, in light of the Conservative Party leadership contest which featured both Candidates ripping each other to shreds.

Firstly the abandonment of levelling up should be repeatedly highlighted by Starmer to voters in the Red wall areas of Northern England. Yet twinned with this should be positive alternative of a Labour plan for the invigorating of the regions. A return to industrial strategy of the May era perhaps alongside a reworked Brexit agreement that was originally signed by the Boris Johnson government.

Secondly this line of attack should be positive, decisive and clearly the British people can see what their choice is upfront of them , do they choose the small state devil may care Libertarian instincts of Liz Truss’s Regressive Conservative instincts. Or do they pick the Centre ground left alternative that is organised around principles such as as solidarity, community and positive patriotic sentiment that is progressive not exclusive to any in group in wider British society.

There is fertile ground to make this attack in light of the culture war debate in the UK. Labour should be true to its values and stand by them in the face of Regressive Conservative policies that are the wrong priorities for the British people on both their public policy platform priorities and the implications that their execution will have on people.
